The AAA is a series of workshops in general algebra and related fields, taking place twice every year: a 'winter edition' in February-March and a 'summer edition' in May-June. Usually, they are organised at universities in Germany and Austria, but several meetings were held in Switzerland, Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary and Finland. This is the first time that an AAA conference is held in Serbia. The traditional AAA was founded in 1970 by Rudolf Wille, TU Darmstadt. The general coordination stayed with Prof. Wille until 1995, when after 50 conferences he passed it on to Reinhard Pöschel and Bernhard Ganter, TU Dresden. The main topics of the 83rd edition of AAA include (but are not limted to):
